MEET PASTOR MATTHEW YODER
Matthew was born in Elkhart, Indiana, and raised in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Imagining adventures as a missionary pilot, Matthew graduated from Hesston College in Kansas with an associate degree in Aviation in 2001. Wanting to further pursue the theolological/cultural aspect of missions, Matthew enrolled in the fall of 2002 in the Culture, Religion and Mission program at Eastern Mennonite University, graduating with a BA in 2004.
In 2006, Matthew headed to California to pursue master of divinity studies at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena. He graduated from Fuller in 2010 and took his first pastorate at a small church in rural east Washington State.
Matthew was ordained at Menno Mennonite Church in Ritzville, Washington, in 2012 and has been at Grace since January 2017.
Matthew is married to Shawna and they have three children, Asher, Orin, and Wren. He enjoys hiking, biking, climbing, and camping.
